This book was our Lawrence Reads choice this year! The Vanderbeeker family lives in New York City in an old brownstone. It has been their home forever. When the story begins their grouchy landlord has given them just a week to find a new place to live. The five siblings each try to convince Mr. Biederman that they should be able to stay. Have you tried searching Hoopla for ebooks and digital audiobooks? It is available through the public libraries (both Boston and Brookline) and there are no wait lists for any of the titles. You will need your library card number in order to check out a book (but ecards are available for both Boston and Brookline Public Libraries). Check the box that says "Kids" next to the search box to limit your search to just kids' titles. There is a limit of 7 borrowed items a month so choose carefully!
