Poetry Month ideas
- Read some e-books or listen to some audiobook versions of books of poetry (brooklinelibrary.org or bpl.org)
- Try writing a poem in a form that you've never tried before: https://www.kathimitchell.com/poemtypes.html
- Make a virtual magnetic poem: https://magneticpoetry.com/pages/play-online-1 No refrigerator, no problem!
- Enter a poetry contest -- here's a message from the Children's Bookshop:
April is National Poetry Month, which means it is once again time for our annual poetry contest for children in grades K-8! This year, due to the extraordinary circumstances we're all experiencing, we're trying something new and conducting our poetry contest entirely online. You can submit your poem through this Google form now through April 30, 2020. If you need inspiration, here are winning and honor poems from previous years. If you have any questions, you can contact us via email or send us a message via Facebook or Instagram. Please share information about the contest with any and all of the young aspiring poets in your life. Every year we're blown away by the talent of young poets in our community, and now more than ever we look forward to reading your poems. Get writing!

Visit a Chinese library
This rural library in China has a very interesting design! This library was closed in 2017, but it looks like it must have been a nice place to visit!
